Who is God? That question
begs an answer that is too big for me. I think it is more than a human brain to comprehend.
I don’t even fully comprehend the brain! I am told that it can process 7 million colors
and 1.5 million messages that my eye distinguishes simultaneously, along with the other hundreds of functions occurring in my body. So i ask myself, do I even fully
comprehend my eye?
I admit
that I don’t have all the answers. I
cannot fathom how there are 3 billion scientific abbreviated letters in every human
cell- called DNA. And my body has
roughly 100 trillion cells in it! That’s
getting way too big for me. So maybe the question isn't "who is God", but "does a god exist".
…Does God exist? Well…? The issue of people believing in God can be bothersome. Yet why does that irritation cause many to spend so much time, attention, and energy refuting something that they don't believe even exists?! May I submit to you that the reason this irritation exists is because God is pressing the issue? Maybe God is pursuing you. Maybe God exists.
Does God exist? Can anyone
really answer that? Let's think about something real and tangible- water. To the naked human eye, it is colorless. To our senses it is tasteless, odorless, yet necessary for survival. I guess you'd have to say that water cannot be tasted, cannot be smelled, and cannot be seen with my eye. It is still real though.
How about wind? I can see the effects of the
wind, but i cannot see the wind. Does air exist? Can you see it with your
naked eye? If not, then why believe in
it? It’s even harder to believe in than wind because at least the effects of the wind can be heard and seen and
felt. How about
gravity? Does it exist?
Is God observable? I have seen the effects of God? I’ve learned that God expects us to question Him. God also wants us to love Him. If He forced us to, we’d be like robots. He desired that i would accept eternal life through believing in His Son Jesus Christ. And yes, I did accept that- i believe. People often ask me…
…Why would a “loving” God send good people to Hell? Based on what I’ve just expressed as my opinion, who is sending people to Hell? It’s not God. He was cool enough to give us the choice. As far as I can tell, this is all our choice- to believe it or not.
I am convinced that everyone
who will admit that the Jesus of the Bible is real and believe deep within
their heart that God raised Him from the dead will live forever in Heaven and
experience forgiveness and the peace of God that passes all understanding. Jesus Christ forgave our sins, no longer counting them against us. Unfortunately, everyone who does not believe this will go to
Hell when they die and will be in anguish and torture forever. I did not make that up, that is what the Holy Bible
says. I believe this Good Book, not only because it has the oldest writings from
ancient history, but it also has guided my life into the greatest love i could ever want.
God has been real in my life, I have this amazing relationship with Him, a Supreme Being way bigger than I’ll ever comprehend. And that’s why I’m writing this page on my website. It's not because i have all the answers, it’s not because I have anything to gain by sharing with you, I just want everyone else to experience this friendship with God that I’ve found.
If you want to pray to God, but aren't sure how to put it into words, this may help:
"Jesus, thank you for dying for my sins. You know my life and that I need to be forgiven. I ask you to forgive me right now and come into my life. I want to know you in a real way. Come into my life now. Thank you that you wanted a relationship with me. Amen."
If you have come to believe what i've just shared, please let me know. I'd be glad to attempt to answer any questions you might have about this. God views your relationship with him
as permanent. Referring to all those who believe in him, Jesus Christ said, "I know them, and they follow me; and I give them eternal life, and
they shall never perish, and no one shall snatch them out of my hand" (John 10:28).
So, does God exist? From my experience, it’s easy to conclude that a loving God exists and can be known in an intimate, personal way. Who is God? That is a question so huge that it will take forever to fully grasp. I'm still working on learning the answers to that question. If you need more information about God's existence, if you want to know for sure how to have a relationship with God, or if you have similar important questions, please email me.
