Lean meat that tastes REAL!
WHY SHOULD WE EAT "BEYOND ORGANIC" BEEF?
If you're like some friends i have...you're still skeptical...wondering why the alterations that take place by feeding cattle grain are so bad. Or maybe you don't care about Omega 3 fatty acids, or maybe you even want your beef to be treated with vaccines. Our beef is not for everyone. Some people feel it's worth it to sacrifice a little health benefits to have a juicy grain fed beef steak. We at Alaska Meat Company respect people of those view.
If you are looking for a beef that is beyond any label, if you want meat from a pristine island in Alaska, if you want to support local Alaskan agriculture...you have come to the right place. God bless your service to Him, and may God bless America!
GRASS FED OR GRAIN FED BEEF?
Before i begin, may i clarify that I am using the term "Grass Fed" rather than "Pasture Fed" because our wild cattle do not know what a "pasture" is. They are THAT free roaming. However, some traditional ranches may use the term pasture fed with similar meaning. Did you know that grass fed beef products have less fat and more vitamin E, beta carotene and cancer-fighting fatty acids than factory-farm products? All across the country, people are returning to this ancient and healthier way of choosing meat for the family.
Grain fed Beef Grass fed Beef
Fat per 100g serving 8.2g 2.2g
Omega 3/gram of fat 6.5mg 20mg
Beta carotene/gram of meat 40mg 82mg
Meat that is lower in fat is lower in calories as well. People who have ample amounts of omega-3s in their diet are less likely to have high blood pressure or irregular heartbeat. They are 50% less likely to suffer a heart attack. Omega-3s are essential for your brain as well. People with a diet rich in omega-3s are less likely to suffer from depression, schizophrenia, attention deficit disorder (ADD), or Alzheimer’s disease. They even reduce the risk of cancer. If you doubt these statements, go to www.EatWild.com for documentation and further information on the benefits of eating "wild".
Grass fed cattle have 300 times less E. coli bacteria in their intestines than grain fed cattle. Should we advocate grass fed then? Our beef goes beyond that. Let’s compare “organic”, “natural”, “grass fed”, and “commercially raised” cattle: Raised Allowed Commercial Feedlot, grain, antibiotics, hormones, steroids, vaccines, confined living, hay Natural Feedlot, grain, antibiotics, vaccines, confined living, hay Organic Feedlot, grain, vaccines, confined living, hay Grass Fed Antibiotics, vaccines Beyond Organic None of the above So i am not advocating "grass fed". I am making a case for choosing beef that is beyond any label- BEYOND ORGANIC. Not only is the beef healthier to eat as food, but for the animal, it is a much healthier lifestyle for our cattle to live wild. Our beef is also “free-ranging”, is vaccine free, antibiotic free, disease free, hormone free…it is free of everything but a price-tag. Please check out our reasonable prices by clicking SHOP NOW.
