How about an Alaska made beef Sausage or Snackstick that has not had ANY fat added to it? I just couldn't find it for sale...so my family and i decided to take the initiative and create a healthy alternative. These sausages and snacksticks are great for more than just snacks. The lean meat is ideal on pizza, in eggs, and many more dishes.
I have been too busy to post recipes on here so far, but will get to them in time :) Here is some basics:
Steak
The steak is pressure cooked to be tender and ready to heat and consume. It is preseasoned with salt, pepper, onion and garlic only. No water was added, yet a considerable amount is cooked out of the meat. This liquid is absolutely excellent for making gravy, or simply using as-is for gravy.
Stew Meat
This stew meat is also pressure cooked so that is falls apart in your mouth. It is preseasoned with the same seasonings as the steak and doesn't have any water added. The liquid in the bag comes naturally from the meat, and is the best broth for a beef stew you could ever ask for! The 1" pieces of meat is also ideal for tacos, burritos, sandwiches, salads, and much more.
Summer and Jalapeno Sausages
These beef summer sausages are great for a quick snack or used in cooking because they are SO lean and flavorful. They are amazing on a pizza, in a pasta dish, or simply eaten with cheese and crackers.
Snackstick
The spicy heat of the snacksticks is not much to write home about until heated- the warmth really brings out the kick in these little sticks! They will perk up scrambled eggs, add some spice to a macaroni salad or even macaroni and cheese, or bring your cheese and cracker snack some delight.
